is so close the nominee may be decided not by the US electorate but by the superdelegates on the convention floor. But these contentious campaign aspects that are currently
dominating the headlines are not the extent of the controversy. The candidates have been firing barbs at each other regarding support for the Iraq War - Clinton voted initially
in support of the US military involvement while Obama states he was always opposed to the conflict despite the fact that he was not yet a US Senator when the
2003 vote was taken - but it is regarding two important issues regarding health insurance and education that their policies stances have also ignited a firestorm of controversy. The fact
that more than 50 percent of Americas men, women, and children are without any type of health insurance is a major source of concern for citizens and candidates alike.
The policy distinctions between Clinton and Obama reveal the experiences of each with regard to working within the American government system. Hillary Clinton has lobbied tirelessly to provide all
Americans with decent and affordable health insurance and was the chief architect of her husbands radical national health insurance program, which went down to congressional defeat in the early 1990s.
Saying she is applying what she learned from that experience, Clinton has articulated what she refers to as her American Health Choices Plan. This plan provides coverage for
