This is along with the high level of research that does not realise future income streams. If we consider the company of Sicor Inc then we can see the typical example of the cycle that a pharmaceutical company may follow. In looking at the last three years there is a very clear trend. If we look to the performance of a company there are many trends that may be used to measure company performance, in this paper we will use the P/E ration, the earnings per share, the dividend yield and also the way in which the stock price moves. If we look at the P/E ratio (price/earnings ratio), this is a common ration used for investment assessment. This is a performance measure that can be thought of in terms of the number of years that it would take a company to earn the amount it is worth on the stock market. Therefore, this is a measure that may indicate if a share price is relatively cheap or expensive when compared t the rest of the market. The lower the number the faster the company will earn its value, where there are higher values and also low yields this will usually mean a company may be growing and expanding rapidly, and lower values are more often associated with stocks that are moving very slowly. The P/E ratio is calculated by dividing the current market price of the share by the earnings per share.
