worth millions then there may be other pressures to go ahead. These are first reactions and are judgments that are taken from a specific cultural perspective, if this is the
way things are done in that country there may be arguments to support using the same system. There are many cultural integration models which stress the need to integrate rather
than enforce cultural values on others from another culture. The individual has a dilemma; should they pay these bribes and breach their own value set possibility getting the
contract, or should they abide by their own values, ignoring the customs and practices of other cultures and making it more likely to loose the contract. This is an
ethical decision and there is never a simple, or a clear-cut answer. If the bribes are not used in the individuals own value set, refusing to use them, even indirectly,
could be effectually be an attitude that one culture and value set is superior to others, if abiding by it there may be the disregard of their own value set
(Chyssides et al, 1999). This situation may be further complicated where there is a legal prohibition bribes, even if it is still common practice (Guffey, 2003). The difficulty is that
these decisions are often approached with the idea that there needs to be the identifications of the right course of action or the good ethical approach. However, as we have
