same-sex relationships as a form of civil partnership. However, these rights have not been established in the Federal law and as such employers are not under any obligation to provide
any form of the quality of benefits to same-sex partnerships compared traditional partnerships (Lexis, 2008). However, just because there is a legal obligation does not mean that there is not
