of contractors were coming in on at a specific time to do framing and their job was dependent on our ability to complete the first step of the project, the
foundation, without delay. Not only was a specific date given for completion of the project, but there were a limited number of days for us to complete the project
because the deadline was just ten days from the date that we were hired for the project. After hearing the deadline and committing to the project, I had to
determine that the job could be completed in the time frame and determine the steps for action. Initially, my fear was that we would not be able to complete
the project, because there is a period of time that the concrete must stand before construction can begin. A number of factors, including weather and the availability of
supplies, were both concerns in meeting the deadline. I began by creating a plan and outlining the worst case scenarios in terms of both supply availability and weather conditions.
I checked local weather reports and found that there was not a threat of any impending poor weather that would make it impossible to complete the project on time.
I also contacted suppliers and materials were readily available for the start of the project. The next step for the project was to determine a willingness on the
part of the contractor with whom I work to complete the project within the allotted time. The contractor and I discussed possible issues that would hinder expedience in the
