try to do to settle it. Discussion The dispute is between co-owners of a beauty shop. One of them, Veronica, is pocketing an extra 25% of the money she makes
on ten of her loyal clients who have followed her to her new shop, which she owns with Betty. Betty thinks she should have part of those profits. The
first thing to do is to determine the facts. First, Betty and Victoria are co-owners of the shop. Second, Veronica has been taking 25% of the profits that she makes
from the clients that remained with her. Third, the issue of this type of compensation was not discussed in contract negotiations. Fourth, it is customary in the industry for hairdressers
to receive extra compensation from such clients, since they bring business to the new location. Finally, Betty has threatened to bring a lawsuit; she is furious over the issues and
is screaming at both Veronica and the mediator. Soothing Betty without insulting Veronica or having Betty lose face: The first things that needs to be handled is the last. If
