is, interestingly enough, the inspiration for the American classic The Magnificent Seven, and stands as a timeless story about helping those less fortunate, a story about honor and integrity, and
a story about the injustice done by others in many societies. The following paper review and analyzes this particular film. Seven Samurai This film, as the title suggests, involves
7 warriors, 7 samurai. As would be expected each of the characters brings something to the story, serving as a representative figure of one sort of hero or another. These
7 men are needed by a small village that is being hounded and oppressed by forty bandits. But, the group does not come together all at once, having already been
established as a group of fighting men. They come together one at a time. The leader of the samurai, and the first
one noted by the villagers in their search for help, is Kambei Shimada. He is a man of middle age and a man who is considered to be a "masterless
samurai" (Seven Samurai, 2007). The villagers had witnessed him save a child who had been abducted (Seven Samurai, 2007). He saved the child by himself using only "his cunning intelligence
and precise technical skill" (Seven Samurai, 2007). He is the true hero in many ways for he is generous, sincere and stands a noble and caring individual with powerful skills
(Seven Samurai, 2007). In his past he used to be Captain to a warlord but he left his position "because his side lost the last battle under the banner of
