within any work. This is especially true of work from any minority author. Looking at a well known author such as Sergio Troncoso there is a great deal of influence
from his background, and major themes in his work appear to be those of identity, heritage and truth. This well read author has won awards for his work; Premio
Aztl?n and the Southwest Book Award for his work; The Last Tortilla and Other Stories. To all his subjects there is also a philosophical approach. This can be seen very
strongly in the recently published second novel "The Nature of Truth". By looking at this work we can identify the themes and the approach taken and then consider how this
fits in with literature in general and also his ethnic background. The subject of the Nature of Truth may appear far removed form that subjects that appear in ethic literature,
but it also represents the nature of truth not as a defined and single truth, but the way in which truth can be different for different people with the
interpretation being subjectvie. By looking at this work there is a reflection of the work of Paul de Man, this is a story of a German professor who is
examined by a researcher and found to have had links with the Nazis, a well know movement for the subjection of different races.
The book shows a chain of events that are driven by the relative truth. The researcher who discovers that the professor was a Nazi decides to take the law
