The September 11th attacks have put a damper on the aviation industry, particularly in the United States. With massive layoffs, bailout programs
and travelers canceling their plans, the airlines are in trouble. Yet, looking at the other side of the world can be enlightening. China, a communist country, supports a growing aviation
sector. A student writing on this paper will want to look at the nation of China economically as well as political implications of entering Chinas market.
The Peoples Republic of China has come a long way economically. Chinas socialist economy had been stagnated by the end of the 1980s and Chinas leader, Deng
