Laplaces Demon, it may well even be possible to quantitatively reduce the scope of ones life, posthumously, to an immensely expansive decision tree with a branch for every decision made
in ones life, from birth to death. Of course, this illustrates the importance of making good decisions if one wishes to achieve a high quality of life. If decisions are
the building blocks of ones life, then, it stands to reason that decision making skills are among the most important skills that an individual can learn. However, in the true
reality we inhabit, decisions are rarely textbook black and white cases that can be addressed with a template decision making framework. Any "skills" that an individual learns that purport to
enhance decision making must be flexible and general, rather than specific, if they are to be applicable to a broad range of decisional contexts. That said, it may well be
that the direct instruction of decision making skills is not the most effective path to increasing the quality of decisions made. Rather, what might be more instructive is taking an
analytical look at the underlying psychosocial factors that impact decision making, and then look at ways in which those factors can be addressed and improved, to allow for more competent
