which is the best networking operating system with the battle between Window and UNIX based operating systems having continued for many years. Microsoft introduced the Windows NT system in 1992,
the operating system was the hybrid of a layered model and a client/server model (Custer, 1993). The layered model is utilised in the executive, client/server allows for the provision of
a multiple operating system environment, meaning the system could have systems such as MD DOS and OS/2 implemented on different parts of the network. Unix is based on
a much older operating system first developed by AT&T during the 1970s. The traditional approach was to have this installed ion a single kernel, running in kernel mode, and the
