spring up selling everything from software to vitamins to clothing. Brand name companies began to create web sites to provide more effective customer service and advertising and people began to
utilize the Internet as their greatest source of information. From medical research to homework help, the Internet is a great resource. Yet, many people are intimidated by the electronic
appliances that sit atop desks around the nation and bewildered when they contemplate how to use the complex machine. There is certainly more than a fear of learning something new.
Rather, there is a frustration in trying to retrieve data quickly and easily. Novices become easily afraid of a machine that retrieves obscene pictures when one is innocently looking for
topics that for example include the word breast. One might be looking for articles on breast cancer or breast feeding, but retrieve quite different results in their first search attempts.
Even when results are not obscene, one can spend a great deal of time searching ineffectively or using the wrong search engines. In fact, using the right search engine is
