a museum online isnt always the same as visiting a physical museum, but in all cases, its better than missing out altogether if one cannot afford to travel, and in
some circumstances an online museum is almost exactly the same as a physical museum. This is the case with the new Marian Koshland
Science Museum (Koshland Museum). Yancey (2004) reports on April 23, 2004 that the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C., opened the Koshland Museum. The museum has displays to help
visitors understand scientific issues like global warming and DNA analysis. In this effort, the museum offers "interactive exhibits, displays and videos" (Yancey, 2004, D.07). The museum is named for Marian
Koshland who died in 1997. An immunologist, she had worked on the cholera vaccine. The student may want to introduce the following:
