from concentration camps. While it may not be an incredibly accurate depiction of all the historical realities during this horrific time in history, it is a very emotional and philosophical
examination of one mans life. The following essay presents a reaction to this film. Schindlers List The fact that the film was based on a real individual is
perhaps what makes it first stand out as something to be truly watched. It is not simply a fictional account of a fictional man during WWII and the murder of
Jews, but a film based on real events in a mans life. This is not to say that there are not elements in the film that are positively accurate, but
the entire film is real enough, with enough horrid depictions of truth, to make it a very powerful story. The man, Schindler, makes for an incredibly fascinating study in
this film because he is not simply a man who is disgusted and horrified at what is going on around him. More often than not films about WWII and concentration
camps and the death that faced so many people is told from a passionate perspective of ideals. Schindler was a normal man, not a man out to change the world
and this film becomes more real and more powerful because of this. When we look at WWII and what happened to the Jews, and so many other cultural outsiders, we
must realize that average everyday individuals had to make choices. And Schindler was simply a capitalist who wanted to keep his business going, and thriving, through the war. He wanted
