a sample size should be chosen that will give a good representative of the population (Curwin and Slater, 1996), in this case we will assume the sample is large enough to be seen as representative. Of these 41.66% (n=120) are male and 58.33% (n=168) are female. The current male to female mix of the workplace is not known, and while this does not reflect the split between male and female in the general populations, this does not mean it is not a representative sample of the workforce at this someday.
