OF THE ISSUE Because organizations such as the Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) in the United States and government safety programs in other countries as well, require periodic safety
meeting to apprise employees of safety factors on the job, many managers look for incentives to make these meetings more interesting. Many informal safety meetings that outline safety instructions
that are geared toward the particular industry and occupation of those in the audience have giveaways and promotional items to keep the employees coming to the safety meetings. Safety meetings
include such information as what type safety equipment is required, materials to be used, and procedures to follow so as to ensure the greatest regard for safety is upheld at
the jobsite. Normally these talks take about five minutes to present. This is in order to keep the employees alert and interested, and not lose their attention by
giving them a lengthy review on a subject that could, unfortunately, lose their attention very quickly. FACTS AND ASSUMPTIONS There are several factors to consider when presenting a
safety meeting in order to make sure that it is truly helpful and meaningful during the presentation. These presentations are usually short and to the point, in order to
not lose the employees attention. Additionally, when giving information on safety equipment, they speak only about that equipment that is actually going to be used on that particular job;
in other words, they dont waste their time and the employees time by talking about a piece of equipment that wont even be at the jobsite. At the end
