2000s, the krona has taken a beating on international markets. But thanks to some strong economic policy from Swedens central bank, the krona has recovered and is showing some signs
of stability. The krona is the eight most traded currency on a global basis, and it has had a trend, in recent years, of a high turnover in the foreign
exchange (FX) market - a trend that experts anticipate will continue (Anonymous, 2004). According to Statistics Sweden (2004), the most recent reading
of the Swedish crown was a high index one, as evidenced by the chart below:

A high index value, according to the web site, means a weak Crown - and means that foreign currencies are more expensive to purchase with Swedish currency (Statistics Sweden, 2004).
