this paper, well attempt to list strategies for managing stress within various organizations. Magnesium Elektron North America is a manufacturing company based
in the Midwest. The line of business is manufacturing non-ferrous die castings. The difficulty with many stress management programs for companies
of this type is that most of them are geared for white-collar jobs involving little noise pollution or repetitive tasks (Echterling and Wylie, 1982).
Stress management programs for this company would need to address issues such as noise and environmental pollution (as machines are bound to be loud), plus repetitive tasks
and the ensuing boredom, which could also create some stressful problems. A stress management program (or list) would include how to
deal with the stress of repetitive tasks. This might include taking frequent breaks every couple of hours, switching jobs around and giving consistent feedbacks. Physical stretching in between tasks is
also of supreme importance and can help relieve tired and stiff muscles. Also, its important to reward employees with positive feedback as well as for quotas reached. The employees themselves
can do deep breathing exercises every few minutes to alleviate tight and cramped muscles. They can also listen to soothing music (through mp3 players) while they work.
