corporations are eagerly eyeing this country - and its millions of people - as a massive potential market. The media hype surrounding China is also adding to the excitement; other
than the fact that Chinas infrastructure is still in doubt, and the government still struggles with issues of corruption, red tape and privatization, there are glowing reports about the benefits
of entering China. In this paper, one company, a U.S. company manufacturing fiberglass entry doors, is interested in entering Chinas market. In
addition to examining the countrys cultural aspects and licenses necessary to operate, this company is also examining methods of statistical analysis to test and determine whether or not it should
enter the market. With this paper, well attempt to apply two methods - chi-square and regression - and determine if, indeed, China would be a good market for our company
to enter. But one thing we need to point out before continuing is that our business operates in a business-to-business environment. In
other words, the consumer is not the end user of this product. Rather, another business - most likely a home builder - is the most likely customer of this particular
product. This is very important to keep in mind, and as we go through this paper, well see why. An Explanation of Analyses
Before testing our hypothesis, however, it would be a good idea to examine the two types of analyses we will be using.
