clubs. Also, in the same effort to become successful, Sony has gone through several corporate restructures in an effort to boost
profitability and to take advantage of emerging opportunities. But while some restructurings are successful, there are those who criticize Sony for spending most, if not all, of its resources and
finances on constantly reinventing itself. Therefore, instead of being a company that is a strong brand name in its own right (with the creative innovation with it), Sony tends to
resemble a company that is remaking itself in the face of the newest hot fad. Is this true, however? Is Sony
being successful with its corporate restructuring? Is it advantageous? Or is it simply a matter of two steps forward, one step back for the consumer electronics/video gaming/financial services/entertainment company?
In this paper, well examine this question in light of the literature that is available about corporate restructuring. Though once restructuring was
believed to be a temporary fix until an organizations leadership got its bearings, these days, corporate restructures are considered to be viable tools when it comes to developing an organization
