Also, we need to describe the differences between these two. Windows XP is a complete operating system that features applications such as word processing (Microsoft Word); spreadsheet (Microsoft
Excel) and contacts (Microsoft Outlook). Microsoft Word, on the other hand, is an application that involves word processing. On the XP front,
there had been many developments of this particular operating system over the former Windows 95 and Windows 98 systems -- all geared to help boost productivity and make integration easier
than ever before. XP is another upgrade that helps keep files more private (ostensibly), even while allowing each user to specifically customize a desktop system for particular use. This helps
in a situation in which there is one computer and many users (or one network with many users). XP, when it came
out in 2001, also offered an operating system to consumers that offered a solid security (Wildstrom, 2001). The system, in its most basic sense, was off-limits to anyone who didnt
have a user name or password, as well as individual user control when it came to files (Wildstrom, 2001). While some files can be shared with XP (these go into
the "shared files"), others can remain private and personal (Wildstrom, 2001). Another advantage to XP is that it comes with a simple
