in other ways as well -- through the purchase of various products and services as well as job creation. But studies more
and more are demonstrating that small businesses are also at the forefront of innovative practices. It can be said that while larger firms have done a good job of
improving on and distributing products, it is the smaller firms that are responsible for developing such innovative products to begin with.
This is an interesting concept, as small businesses tend to have their own challenges -- with profitability and access to financial capital been among the two top problems. Other
challenges these businesses face include finding employees with the same innovative thought processes they have. Yet despite all, many of the innovations we see today, particularly in the high-tech
arena, have been the result of small businesses. Under certain circumstances, small businesses thrive when it comes to innovation. They are innovative for a variety of reasons as
well. Interestingly enough, when small businesses make millions other innovations and turned into larger businesses, sometimes they lose their knack for innovative practices because they and up suffering from
