To answer this question lets first discuss the environment. The environment being discussed is the church, a religious institution or other house of worship. Though
the particular article in question does not address synagogues, these are also religious institutions that require security as well. The difficulty with protecting any kind of religious institution or house
of worship, is the assumption that no one would want to come into a house of God and attack other people. As this article has proven, this assumption is false.
If we are to take the integrated security design on page 113 which includes personnel security, information security, physical security and interdepartmental dependencies,
it would be difficult to describe the one security component that would work in this case. Physical security is difficult in a situation like this because religious institutions want to
remain open to all who need them. Personnel security is also not an issue, simply because people who enter or churches and other sanctuaries are generally not disgruntled employees. Information
security is also difficult -- many times there is no previous indication that someone is going to cause trouble. The problem is that many of these crimes appear to be
spontaneous. As mentioned in the article that we are studying, as well as in an article hand by Amy Sullivan in 2009, these crimes are motivated by both in tolerance
of religious beliefs, as well as anger at one of the members of the church. Many times, the assailants isnt even a member of the congregation, but "harbors uncontrolled anger,
perhaps toward Christianity" or has anger for other reasons space (Liedman, 2009). This leaves interdepartmental security. In such a situation, directors of security
