it is these perceptions which render them Romantic, since their outlook is decidedly optimistic. For Wordsworth, he was greatly concerned
with issues of Man, Human Nature and Mans relationship with the natural (and supernatural) world (Wordsworth, 2003). Wordsworth used his poetic ability to explore the natural world and mans
position in that world, and thus generated a great deal of insight into the matter. Furthermore, in the case of The Prelude, this issue is personally explored, as Wordsworth
evidently explores his own life in this poem, "using blank verse as a means for exploring fundamental perspectives on nature, human nature, morality and psychological development" (Wordsworth, 2003).
