(Thompson, 2004). The brain itself develops numerous neural pathways and nets when the individual has the appropriate kind of care and stimulation. The brain has a number of component parts,
each of which is responsible for different activities. The brainstem, which is the lowest part of the brain, connects the brain to the spinal cord and is responsible for numerous
survival functions, such as breathing (Johnson, 2009). The cerebellum is located at the back of the brain and is next to the brainstem. This part helps us develop coordination and
balance and even numerous self-care tasks, like eating and walking (Johnson, 2009). The frontal lobe, which its name suggests, is located in the front of the brain. This lobe is
involved in attention, planning, problem solving, organizing, higher cognitive functions like emotions and behaviors and ones personality (Johnson, 2009). There are two parts in the frontal lobe, the anterior
or prefrontal cortex, which is directly involved with higher cognitive functions and also has a very definite impact on ones personality (Johnson, 2009). The posterior or back of the lobe
is comprised of pre-motor and motor areas (Johnson, 2009). The motor area has nerve cells that help ones movements and the pre-motor area modifies movements (Johnson, 2009). The frontal lobe
is separated from the parietal lobe by the central sulcus, which is like a little groove (Johnson, 2009). The parietal lobe is located on each side of the brain, thus
