is, however, another side of his work, one in which the poet utilizes dark woods as a metaphor: the conflict between human beings. This contrasting nuance is particularly evident in Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, a typically pastoral poem that subtly combines the presence of two very different worlds. The exact manner in which Frost reveals this conflict is an integral component to the poets overall mystique. It can readily be argued that poetry is the expression of ones very soul, encompassing a great many emotions, feelings, and desires that can range from one spectrum to the other.
