Ricky, the shaggy-haired former lead singer of Ricky and the Red Freaks has succeeded in doing something that lead singers have been doing since the birth of
rock n roll. He has dumped his band for a solo career, just when the whole band was about to strike Gold -- or maybe even Platinum.
Moreover, as I understand it Barry has not only been left in the lurch relevant to the entire bands being able to perform at the Houston Astrodome, (which now will
not include singer, Ricky), but he is also appreciably out of pocket for the bands expenses. Having fulfilled his responsibilities with respect to getting the word out via a
plethora of advertising, added to the money he put up for the facility rental, Barry is now in the hole for thousands of dollars -- just on this one gig.
To add insult to injury, Ricky currently has firm plans to give his own concert on the same night in a different venue across town.
Unfortunately, while Ricky is on stage splitting a vocal chord, his old band mates will only be able to deliver an instrumental rendition of
their old tunes -- due to Rickys ill-timed departure. Needless to say, Barry has already had the proverbial basket of kittens, and after again cursing the day he met
