1894. The hospital built a large new facility in the mid-1970s, containing so much room for future growth that citizens of the Raleigh area wondered about managements wisdom and
planning abilities. Certainly the old hospital had been inadequate for a long while, but the new one seemed to be over the top in anticipation of need in the
