Essay / Research Paper Abstract
3 pages in length. Technological advancement has been the cornerstone of man's evolution as a species; from fire and the wheel of centuries ago to the multitude of discoveries in the twentieth century alone, humans have successfully overcome tremendous obstacles that would otherwise limit their progression. To assume these breakthroughs are infinite in value, however, is to be remiss about the potentially undesirable flipside of such life-altering discoveries. Life extension is one of the most pressing issues pertaining to mankind's ongoing quest to preserve human existence beyond its natural course, an effort that perseveres to overcome innate limits of human physiological by purposefully elongating the length of time people can survive. or more years of fruitful existence beyond what natural selection has established is quite an attractive prospect, however, from a social standpoint, the idea of exponentially increasing human presence through
technologically-based life extension fails to consider the disastrous impact such "advancement" would have upon food/water supplies, medical funding and the overall infrastructure of mans entire existence if people continued to
reproduce while at the same time not permitting the natural cycle of life to occur to accommodate the growing population. When examining whether
mankind should be reveal the increase in maximum of human life span, it is important to consider the fact that mans possession of knowledge is not necessarily a dangerous commodity;
