a resume is to get a job; the idea of a web page is to provide information or sell a product or service. One of the things that infuriates job
hunters is that the "proper" form of a resume changes constantly; what was in last week is pass? today. There are people who think resumes are rapidly becoming a thing
of the past; many people have slaved for hours to get one together only to find that it didnt help in the least. It is tempting to use brightly-colored paper,
fancy fonts and other attention getting devices, but these are unlikely to do anything more than irritate the interviewer. Likewise, its questionable whether or not a first section, usually entitled
"Objective" should still be used; but one will be created for this paper. Its the paragraph in which the job seeker explains why he is the best possible fit for
the position (Doyle, 2010). It can be eye-catching but it can also be complete fluff, which may be why its not necessarily included on resumes today. At any rate, heres
our job seeker: OBJECTIVE: "A position in research that allows me to use my degrees in English and history to create and maintain a comprehensive catalog of museum exhibits. My
work with computers will also allow me to update the museums website with accurate descriptions of temporary exhibits as well as the permanent collection. My passion for history and art
