the Jews of Europe. This paper is a reaction to the study of those events, using a variety of materials that describe them. Discussion The Holocaust is perhaps the lowest
point in human history, at least through the present time. Any in-depth study of it is depressing, frightening and deeply disturbing. The questions that were asked about it at the
time the world discovered what had happened are still being asked today: how could one of the most civilized, cultured nations on earth sink to such barbarism? How could the
Jews allow themselves to be rounded up and killed? Could it happen again? The answer to the last question seems to be clear: yes, it could. The Internet has
a number of sites that are dedicated to neo-Nazi causes; that preach white supremacy; that deny the Holocaust actually happened; that praise Hitler; or that spout virulent hate. The Nazi
movement may represent the most horrendous behavior humans are capable of, but the fact remains that they are still humans. The Holocaust wasnt perpetrated by alien life forms, it was
the crowning example of mans inhumanity to man, in the overused phrase. That may be why its so frightening, as well as being so difficult to grasp. It was also
one of the first times that technology was harnessed to serve an ideology in this way. Many sources tell us that one of the Germans main concerns was in how
to handle and dispose of the bodies of their victims, as well as how to improve the process of killing. It was a problem in logistics, not morality. So perhaps
the unanswered questions bother us because it becomes apparent that given the right provocation, anyone can abandon their principles and become a monster. First, lets dispose of the myth that
