the employee who is capable of doing stellar work but remains a poor performer. This paper considers such a situation and how the problem can be resolved through reason. Discussion
The situation is this: a manager has been given a project that is difficult, has a short time-frame, and will demand the best his people can give. His workers are
all competent but there is one who consistently underperforms, and who doesnt seem to engage with the others as well as she might, or on a regular basis. This employee
is also from a different country. The project needs everyone working on it and if she cannot get up to speed, the manager may have to let her go. But
her contributions to the department are valuable and he would rather not go that way. Attitudes, assumptions and classical conditioning: Classical conditioning is the type of conditioning described by Pavlov
in his experiment with dogs: after a number of repetitions, a strong association is formed between a stimulus and response (Cherry, 2010). At first, Pavlov let dogs smell food, and
