be researched. In a paper on something like Iraq, which is very broad, enumerating some of the issues may help to narrow the topic. We begin with pros can cons
of the situation. On the plus side is the fact that the invasion rid Iraq of Saddam Hussein, who was a dictator who cruelly abused his own people. Unfortunately, there
is very little else we can put in the positive column. Most of the impacts have been negative. These include the fact that the excuses used to justify the invasion
have been proven false; the fact that the invasion has destabilized the entire region; and the fact that the American people now have rejected the idea of keeping the troops
in Iraq for any extended periods; and the fact that Iraq itself seems to be headed for civil war. Perhaps the worst thing of all is the often-voiced opinion that
the real reason for the invasion was to insure that America would have access to Iraqi oil to sustain its bloated lifestyle. A good subject for the larger paper might
be to consider how to find out the truth behind the invasion. Literature review: Probably the best places to find in-depth works on the situation in Iraq are journals that
are available through various library databases. Most campuses subscribe to J-STOR, which is the best database for this kind of work; other possibilities are InfoTrac Onefile; EBSCO Host (including databases
