Guillermo Furniture have sought the opinions of their customers, using a quantitative approach with a very short questionnaire designed to gain knowledge of the views and the experience of the
firm, allowing the company to assess their strengths and weaknesses. With a questionnaire that was undertaken with 205 customers, conducted by telephone, either as a result of the customer being
known the firm; being a VIP customer, or from a leaflet given out in the store with a toll free number to dial to take part. The questions
asked first which products were purchased, it was notable that the most popular items were the beds, with 53/6 (n=134) buying beds, next were chain cabinets with 26.8% (n=67) and
26.4% (n=66) dinner tables, with the lowest selling product being sofas at 20% (n=50). There appears to be a high level of satisfaction with the quality of the products, 67.6%
(n=169) stating that it was excellent, 23.2% (n=58) that it was good, only 8.4% (n=21 said that it was fair and 0.8% (n=2) that it was poor. Therefore there is
a general patter of satisfaction. However, a major part of the problem faced by Guillermo Furniture is the increased level of competition, and while customers may be satisfied there needs
to be consideration of this within the broader competitive environment, they may be equally satisfied or even more satisfied with other firms, and this appears top be the case, as
