all, the babies were in danger and they were going to be born into a life riddled with strife. Babies of multiple births often suffer from health problems and are
often strain a family budget. For the single Suleman, the problems are likely amplified. Other issues concerning reproductive health go to the fact that in vitro fertilization allows older
women to give birth. Some stories have focused on older women bearing their grandchildren. Other stories suggest that postmenopausal women are not giving up on having a first family. Older
couples that have children risk being too old to adequately care for a growing family. While some older people believe that they have more time and money to devote to
offspring, they often lack the stamina to cope with raising children. Of course, it is also true that by the time that a baby reaches his high school graduation, parents
may be elderly or dead. How this affects the children is something to consider. Should anyone be allowed to have children artificially if they simply want to bear children?
This is an important ethical quandary that has presented itself during the twentieth century and is becoming even more significant during the twenty-first. Should there be an ethical stance
on this issue, or should people be left to their own devices? There are some who argue that people should have free will, and that individuality is very important in
