as follows: I call it The Toy Family Legacy. Out of twenty two cousins, I am the only one who has not graduated from college. Education is highly valued in
my family. My great-grandparents emigrated from China and had a wealth of children and grandchildren and I was raised with the admonition that education is important. Like most high
school seniors, I did apply for college and was admitted to UC at Santa Barbara. Also, like most applicants I was ambitious in securing loans and scholarships and am proud
to have received a tennis scholarship. Admittedly, I lived for tennis. A student writing on this topic might want to go from the background information to the present time period
to show the contrast in terms of maturity and desire to learn. Then the paragraph can transition to the experience deemed life-changing. I am a bit more mature now.
Although I still play tennis, it is just a hobby and not a pivotal course of study. In high school, tennis was more important than academics, but a life changing
experience rapidly plunged me into a adulthood, forcing me to face the fact that education is significant and family legacies matter. Like most teenagers, I was interested in the present.
Today, I look to the future and realize that the effort I put into my life today will manifest into something for tomorrow. I was just a college kid
interested in tennis when my mother received the news that she was dying of cancer. It was a tumultuous time in my life and in my familys. I will never
