faith and true Christianity within the individual or the society. Her stories leave no doubt that there is a religious intention therein, that one of the most powerful, if not
the most powerful, themes in the story is religion. Such is clearly the case with the short story A Good Man is Hard to Find. The following paper examines the
theme of religion in this story and why this theme is significant. Religion in "A Good Man is Hard to Find" by OConnor There are incredibly numerous ways
in which a person could explicate the theme of religion in OConnors story and there are numerous essays that do just this. One can well argue that OConnor was illustrating
the depths of religion through this particular story, or how grace plays an important and symbolic role in relationship to religion and society. Many may argue that it is a
story about finding ones faith, or about how people are often hypocritical about their actions regarding religion. There are many ways to interpret this story as it involves religion and
