Destruction Overview of the article Description of the kind of study: This particular study, or research, is an experimental research. As one author describes such a form of research, "In
experimental research, we manipulate some variables and then measure the effects of this manipulation on other variables" (Elementary Concepts in Statistics, 2008). In this study the researchers are introducing variables,
through their use of different words such as "hit" and "smash" and thus are measuring the effects of such a manipulation. Note the variables used: The variables that are
most obvious are those used in terms of the wording offered to describe any accident the individual has seen on screen or has read about. There are also the variables
involving who the subjects are, which is never really noted in terms of age or gender or race. Note the method used: The method of study was primarily that
of utilizing questionnaires, although these were accompanied by either written descriptions of accidents and/or visual depictions of accidents. Note the participants used: there is really no information about the
