Though the people of Iraq currently suffer as a result of the damage caused by war, this will pass and monetary efforts will put the country back in order. What money can not ensure, though, is that peace can be secured, implemented and can last through the process of change. In order to implement lasting peace in Iraq, there are a number of major changes that must occur. First, the United States and many of the countries of the United Nations, including England, who have supported the war efforts, must help in the rebuilding of structural elements throughout the country. The country needs a central government, a central monetary structure (a central bank) and an economic focus that can support the government. At the same time, efforts must be made to implement changes that will allow for a government of the people. Many of the countries of the Western world support the idea that the rebuilding of Iraq requires the implementation of a democratic process, a process through which freedom and the right to vote can be secured. There is also a need to put into place a national philosophy that is the basis for governmental change. For decades, governmental change has been supported by philosophical elements, including the views of liberty and freedom offered by theorists like John Locke and Robert Nozick. In order for Iraq to realize essential change, it is necessary that the country embrace the concepts of freedom of choice, personal rights, and the support for the potential of each person. Locke argued that man should have the right to acquisition and the right to benefit from his own labor. ...
