their radio advertising budgets and increased their television commercial budgets (Rawle, 2008). It made sense because consumers could see the product rather than just hear about it (Rawle, 2008). As
an television viewer knows, the audience is now bombasted with television commercials. In the last few years, there seem to be more commercials in number and longer periods of time
for commercials within any show. Businesses and organizations began adding another type of advertising in the last decade or so. The Internet is the latest technology for marketing and
users know that unless they have good pop-up blockers in their server, clicking on a document in search engine will often result in pop-up ads that may or may not
have anything to do with the subject that was being researched. E-mail users will find dozens of advertisements in their mail box every day. In some cases, the user has
agreed to receive offers and promotions from a company, in other cases, the user did not agree. Some originate from companies the user has never heard of. Nonetheless, businesses have
found that Internet technology is very often an inexpensive and profitable way to advertise their products and services. Many companies engage the Internet user in activities (Rawle, 2008). For example,
H&R Block has a program called Godin that targets upper-income customers (Rawle, 2008). The banner reads: "H&R Block: Well Pay Your Taxes Sweepstakes" (Rawle, 2008). That is an attention-grabber and
