2005). Some of the many jobs within this vast industry include "Real estate agents, brokers, developers, appraisers, and apartment or property managers" (iSeek 2005). However, there are dozens of different
occupations in this industry, including advertising, buyers and purchasing agents, financial analysts, title searchers and examiners, credit authorizers and many others (iSeek 2005). Approximately 1,513,000 people are employed in the
industry (iSeek 2005). Most employment is in large cities but real estate offices are in all communicates, except perhaps for the smallest (iSeek 2005). Most of these people are independent
contractors who work for a broker and who also work on a commission basis but there are also any number of jobs as employees (iSeek 2005). Industry Trends Employment
in the real estate industry is expected to grow at least until 2012 (iSeek). One reason is the increase in population as well as the aging of the population (iSeek).
