countries, possessed many different emotions and thoughts concerning the attacks, each person reacting in a very personal manner. The following paper presents some of the reactions of this particular writer
in relationship to the attacks, as well as the likely emotions and thoughts of other Americans. 9-11 It should be noted that the opinions presented herein, opinions of this particular
writer, are not necessarily the mainstream opinions of the nation and most Americans. As such the mainstream opinions will be provided as well. For this particular citizen the attacks were
first seen on the welcome screen of the computer. At first they seemed quite unreal, like an advertisement for a film, but in conjunction with the radio it became clear
what had and was happening. It was very unreal and all but unfathomable. This particular writer, being something of an individual who does not always believe whatever the media
tells them, was not convinced, from the beginning, that all of the events were due to terrorists at first. There are many possibilities when seeing something on the news and
hearing what it is they initially assume such an attack to be, so this particular citizen kept an open mind about who was behind the attacks. Regardless of who was
responsible, however, the events were saddening to say the least. There was just a feeling of disbelief and shock that so many people had been killed and so much devastation
was taking place. Unlike most citizens, this particular writer, however, did not have any access to cable television due to their remote location and so there were never any
