bolstered by President Barack Obamas focus on stimulating economic recovery. However, older Americans, minority and disadvantaged Americans remain at risk in the current crisis because of a number of factors.
In fact, people from all socioeconomic groups remain at risk under current conditions. The White House recognizes this fact, which is why it
bolstered the Society Security program and provided a broad range of far reaching economic stimulus programs. The social effects of the crisis continue to affect all races, ages and ethnic
groups. Analysis The major problem areas affecting the social systems in the economic
crisis are job loss, foreclosures, health care, education, and social issues related to financial system and markets1. While some recovery and stimulus has been realized in all of these areas,
they still require attention. For example, the importance of financial markets correlates directly with retirement for older Americans, perhaps the most overlooked
factor in the devastation caused by the economic crisis. Older Americans suffered deep losses in their retirement plans, with the effect that they went back to work and lost homes
to foreclosures. These are just a few examples. The ways in which the economic crisis effects older Americans can also be applied
to monitories and disadvantaged Americans, who do not have retirement savings or other resources to fall back on. People who have been financially stable in the past are facing foreclosures
