of a child who has exceptional needs into the family structure and handling the childs behavior require enormous patience from the parent. In todays hectic world, where parents are struggling
to survive, parents do not always have the patience required and as any article on the issue in a popular magazine will note, the first emotional baggage the parent needs
to deal with is guilt. As the child grows and it becomes time to enter the school system, the parent must face
even more issues concerning the childs educational environment. More stress. The very best public schools will, in fact, offer an appropriate and nurturing environment in which a child with special
needs can learn and improve both cognitively and socially but even the best have very little to offer the parent beyond suggestions for helping the child at home. Yes, the
