that we are doing all we can to make education and society fair for all people as we realize that there is not just one race of people in this
nation. However, at the same time, the "we" that is spoken of is generally related to the white world. The majority of the people in control of laws and how
the country is run, which includes education, are white people. As such we cannot truly expect great changes to have been made in terms of education and race. This is
not to say that there are not many different cultural ethnicities that are teachers and politicians in the education field. It is to say, however, that those who ultimately control
the fate of education are more often than not white people trying to make things "calm" and to address all issues. The following paper examines race in education today, illustrating
how there is far too little educational focus on anything but "white history." Race and Education Practices As mentioned, there are many more attempts today than in the
past to ensure that all races and ethnicities are covered in the field of education. For the most part this focuses on trying to give all children of all cultures
the same education. This, however, is surely not the case for most people in the nation are well aware of the fact that inner city kids and kids of minority
ethnicities are given far poorer educations than white children in mainstream America. If this is the case we surely cannot expect that the lessons our children learn, and the materials
