The term "meeting" is defined as "an assembly for a common purpose" or "an act or process of coming together" (Meeting). However, meetings can become a real problem in
different countries if those participating arent aware of cultural differences when it comes to attending and participating in these events. In some countries, for example, meetings are more casual with
open participation and business that is conducted quickly, whereas in other countries, meetings focus on rigidly kept agendas, with participation occurring based on seniority.
Lets study the typical meeting in the United States. For one thing, punctuality is very important - lateness is considered a sign of disrespect (U.S.-language, culture, customs and etiquette).
