generalisable, and more meaningful forecasts of change. Quantitative research studies, then, integrate an assessment of statistical representations, and can be experimental in nature. Quantitative studies provide an assessment through
a research instrument, including questionnaires or assessments, that result in comparative numerical values. The development of quantitative research studies promotes a method of "proving" a hypothesis through a quantified
study outcome. Though both qualitative and quantitative research studies provide distinct views of certain arguable research questions, they do so in distinct ways. A comparative view of
two research studies, one qualitative and one quantitative, promotes a substantive view of the variations in research and the application of research in the modern health care environment.
