the day and age. His biggest collection was called the Summa Theologica. In it there resides almost ninety various answers and questions based on the theology of the Roman Catholic
Church. Among these is the idea of redemption, the act of redemption, the process of redemption, the definition of redemption, and Aquinas own theories about redemption. It can be said
that his treatises on this subject had great influence on the study of redemption in later years, or in the vernacular, Soteriology. As systematically as possible Thomas set about to
compile and organize the material of Christian Theologists. Mysteriously, Thomas was nearly completed with the work when he underwent a personal spiritual experience that as he explained made everything hed
written seem like straw. He quit working on the Summa and three months later, he died. When one considers what a daunting task the man undertook, it is no
less than a miracle that he was able to do as much as he did. He single handedly was able to reconcile faith with intellect, he created a philosophical synthesis
of the works and teachings of Aristotle and other classic sages; of Augustine and other church fathers; of Islamic scholars; of Jewish thinkers and of his predecessors in the Scholastic
tradition(Microsoft Corp. 2002). This synthesis he brought into line with the Bible and Roman Catholic doctrine. What there is of it,
then, has been of valuable assistance to scholars since. All of theology is divided into its major topics which are divided into subtopics which Thomas called, questions. These questions he
then answers with all the popular thought of the day and age and then, if it varied from what was held to be true according to the Catholic Church, or
