in the land of the Maple leaf racism not only abounds, it seems to thrive on the misconception that all is well. It is not. Luckily, there are enough people
now, who are fighting to bring the country up to the perceptions of those outside her borders. When racism takes hold in a country there is a usual progression of
escalating abhorrence that occur. The first act that is propitiated is the direct act of extermination. Annihilating the minority solves the problem, or so Adolph Hitler believed. If that doesnt
work, some civilizations have turned to deportation, and have simply driven or sent those who were different from the invading people, away. As in the early 1900s segregation was the
norm for most countries and this form of racism still exists around the world today. The other ways in which racism abounds is perhaps one of the most insidious methods
perpetrated as its long term effects could be potentially devastating to mans survival as a species. That method of racism would be absorption of the minoritys culture, language, and ways
into the culture of the dominant people. In essence, the culture of the minority is curtailed and extinguished. The reason this could potentially be so devastating is that in this
assimilation lore and traditions that helped the established peoples survive in that land are distressed. What ancient medicines and solutions to problems have been lost? The effects of this type
