Of course, this writer/tutor can only discuss my own trash, but, hopefully, this will provide a guide for the student. My own trash would quickly reveal that I am diabetic,
as it contains the lancets I use to draw blood for glucose testing (with the ends appropriately capped, of course). It would also reveal that I am not particularly good
about eating right (despite the diabetes) and that we (myself and my husband) receive a huge variety of junk mail. This junk mail would reveal that we have given money
to and are members of the American Civil Liberties Union and tend to receive mail from the Democratic Party. It would also indicate that we give to a variety of
charities and are interested in environmental causes. If I was a suspected terrorist, investigators sorting through my trash might look for foreign postmarks on mail and any indication that
I belonged to subversive organizations. They might also be on the lookout for any indications that I have been purchasing items that can be used on bomb making, such as
certain fertilizers. In this regard, snippets of electrical wire, duct tape, etc., which would normally be viewed as innocent, might be combined with other evidence to present an overall degree
of suspicion. Difference between domestic and international terrorism According to the United States Department of Defense, terrorism is "the calculated use of unlawful violence or threat of unlawful
